Shinedown
Shinedown joined the rock and alternative rock scene in
2001 with the release of their first Platinum album, “Leave
a Whisper” and has since recorded seven consecutive
Top Five rock and alternative radio hits including “Fly
From the Inside,” “45,” and “Save
Me.” On their most recent album, “The Sound
of Madness,” Shinedown seeks to take a brave and unsparing
look into the soul and psyche of mankind through a fierce
musical attack.
Songs such as “Breaking Inside” and “Cry
for Help” vibrate with the passion, energy, and focus
of a band with high-minded ideals and limitless ambitions.
In writing and recording the new album, band front man Brent
Smith strove to incorporate insightful observations about
life from his years on the road and relationships built
with fans while further developing a layered rock sound
created by the new lineup of Shinedown featuring drummer
Barry Kerch, guitarist Nick Perri, bassist Eric Bass, and
guitarist Zach Myers.
Chevelle
Chevelle brings a raw, twitchy vitality to their radio-friendly
brand of metal music in new songs such as “Jars,” “I
Get It,” “This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us
In),” and “Sleep Apnea.” Their most recent
album, “Sci-Fi Crimes” (2009) was created to
mirror the sound of Chevelle’s live show, a result
of the band taking stock of itself after a strenuous
decade of recording and touring.
The group, which first
gained success with Platinum record, “Wonder What’s
Next,” featuring chart-topping single “Send
the Pain Below” and “Vitamin R (Leading Us Along),” got
their start in Chicago in 1995, composed of three brothers:
Sam, Pete, and Joe Loeffler. Since then, brother-in-law
Dean Bernardini replaced Joe, bringing to the group exemplary
musical skills and a unifying spirit, helping the group
to overcome a previously tempestuous inner-circle to
create some of their best music and most dynamic live shows.
