Sugarland
Sugarland, the dynamic country duo of Jennifer Nettles
and Kristian Bush, is sweeping the country music scene with
heartfelt love songs and compelling lyrical stories that
harness the vocal power of Nettles and the instrumental
skill of Bush. 2008 Grammy Award winners for their smash-hit “Stay,” Sugarland
has been selling out concert crowds across the country,
sweeping audiences off their feet with hits like “All
I Want To Do,” “Already Gone” and “Everyday
America.”
Their debut album, “Twice The Speed
of Life” captured audiences with the hit single, “Baby
Girl.” Since then, sophomore and junior albums, “Enjoy
The Ride” and “Love On The Inside” have
produced chart-topping singles like “Settlin’,” and “Want
To” while earning the duo top honors at the Academy
of Country Music Awards and a performance at the Grammy’s.
The Atlanta, Georgia natives credit their local music
scene for developing their sound, and have dedicated their
efforts on their most recent album to finding simplicity
over complexity and developing the emotional aspect of their
music. Nettles, honored with a Grammy for her songwriting,
penned all of the tracks on their newest album, calling
it “the
album she’s always wanted to make.”
Little
Big Town
Little Big Town brought a unique and powerful combination to the country
music scene in the late 90s, combining the vocal harmonies of Jimi Westbrook,
Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, and Phillip Sweet to create Top 20
hits such as “Boondocks,” “Bring It On Home,” “Good
As Gone,” and “A Little More You.” The complex vocal
interplay and group songwriting that characterize their work is the result
of a decade of deep friendship and camaraderie among the members of Little
Big Town.
An extended version of their most recent album, “A Place To Land” was
released under their new record label, Capitol Records Nashville, in October
2008. The album featured tracks such as “You’re Gonna Love
Me” and “That’s Where I’ll Be” as well as
hit song “Life In A Northern Town,” a collaborative effort
with tour mates Sugarland and Jake Owen. Their 2005 album, “The Road
To Here,” sold over a million copies, earned nominations at the Grammy
awards, and boasted four Top 20 hits.
