BOYS LIKE GIRLS COMPLETE IOWA STATE FAIR GRANDSTAND LINE-UP

Pop-rock sensation Boys Like Girls will bring their high-energy show to the Iowa State Fair Grandstand Friday, August 20, filling the last opening in this year’s line-up. Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are $25 and go on sale Saturday, April 24.

Best known for popular radio plays “Two Is Better Than One,” “Love Drunk,” “Thunder,” and “The Great Escape,” these four friends from Boston have been rocking sell-out crowds across the country since their rise to fame in 2007. Boys Like Girls will be joined by opening band, We the Kings, a high-spirited pop-rock quartet that has gained popularity through songs such as “Check Yes Juliet,“ “Secret Valentine,” and “Skyway Avenue.”

Boys Like Girls joins Grammy award-winning acts Keith Urban, Sugarland, Pat Benatar, Darius Rucker, and Sheryl Crow as one of many must-see concerts set for the Grandstand during the 2010 Fair, August 12-22.

Tickets for all Grandstand events will go on sale Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m. through all Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. All concert events are reserved seating; track events are general admission. Beginning July 12, the Fair’s Ticket Office will be open 8 a.m. to
4:30 p.m., Mondays - Fridays and 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays for walk-up orders only (no mail, phone or fax orders). Convenience charges will apply to all tickets. Grandstand tickets do not include Fair admission.
